Installation

Under review in the store. For now, install from the ZIP; once it's live in the store, it'll be a one-click add here.
  1. Download the package. Use the button on the right (below, on a phone) to get the ZIP file.
  2. Extract the ZIP. In Downloads, right-click the file and choose Extract All. Put the folder somewhere you won't delete it; the extension runs from there.
  3. Open the Extensions page. Type chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter. Turn on the Developer mode toggle at the top right.
  4. Load the folder. Press Load unpacked and select the folder you extracted.
  5. Pin the icon. Click the puzzle-piece icon and press the pin next to PatchStudio.
Chrome warns you every time it starts: "Disable developer mode extensions". That's normal while the extension isn't in the store yet; close the warning and don't disable the extension.

  • 5 free designs a day as a guest, 10 as a member

Privacy and permissions

The extension only runs when you ask it to: the image you right-click or the text you select is sent to unlimitedpatch.com and nowhere else. It doesn't track your browsing history, inject scripts into pages, or contain any advertising or analytics code.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything?

No. You get 5 designs a day as a guest and 10 as a member, free of charge. You only pay for the patch you decide to have made.

Why does it ask for an email?

Guest designs are tied to an email: your stars and designs are kept under your address, so you can reach them from another device too. If you're signed in as a customer on the site, you won't be asked for one.

It says the image I right-clicked couldn't be fetched

Some sites don't let their images be downloaded from outside. Save the image to your computer and upload it in the popup with Add reference, or paste it with Ctrl+V.

If I close the popup, does production stop?

No. Production keeps running on the server; the extension checks every half-minute and shows a badge on the icon when it's done. Open the popup and the result is there.

Does it work in Edge, Brave or Opera?

Yes, the same package works in Chromium-based browsers. Chrome 120 or later is recommended.

What do I do when a new version comes out?

If you installed from the store, Chrome updates it by itself. If you installed from the ZIP, extract the new ZIP into the same folder and press the Reload button on the chrome://extensions page.
