Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we are asked most often about custom patch and badge production, grouped by topic. If you can't find what you're looking for, write to us at destek@unlimitedpatch.com or on WhatsApp.

Getting Started and Ordering

I want custom patches made. Where should I start?

If your design is ready, you can start straight away on the Upload Your Own Design page: upload the image, choose the size and backing, enter the quantity and complete your order. There's no need to wait for a quote; you see the price instantly.

If your design isn't ready yet, send us the logo, sketch or idea you have; making it production-ready is our job. Orders start from a minimum of 10 pieces, and production takes 3 working days after payment is confirmed.

Can you make custom badges from my own logo?

Yes, that's most of what we do. Company logo, club crest, unit emblem or personal design, it makes no difference: we prepare your artwork for production and turn it into a TPU patch.

A vector version of your logo (AI, PDF, SVG, EPS) gives the best result. If you don't have one, a high-resolution PNG or JPG is usually enough; if needed we redraw it, at no extra charge.

Should I order from the ready-made designs or upload my own?

If you're using a logo or emblem of your own, upload your own design; if you're looking for a ready-made motif, choose from the catalogue. The most practical difference between the two is quantity: you can order even a single piece of a ready-made design, while your own design needs at least 10 pieces.

Ready-made designs are produced in a fixed size and backing. With your own design you choose the size and backing, and that's where quantity discounts apply.

How do I place an order?

It takes four steps: choose the product, upload your design, select the size and backing, then enter the quantity and add it to your basket. At checkout you choose card payment or bank transfer.

Once your payment is confirmed, we prepare your design for production and send you a digital proof for approval. Production starts as soon as you approve it.

Can I order without creating an account?

Yes, an account isn't required. You can order as a guest and track your order with your order number and e-mail address.

If you create an account, your designs and order history stay in it, so when you want to reorder the same patch you don't need to upload the file again.

Can I see how my design will look in production before I order?

Yes. Before production starts, we prepare a digital proof of your design and send it to you for approval; the size, colours and cut line are clearly visible on it. Nothing goes into production without your approval.

We also make physical samples. If you'd like a real sample in your hands before production, especially for large or corporate orders, write to us via the contact form and we'll get back to you about the sample lead time and cost.

Price and Quantity

How is the price of a custom patch calculated?

The price is made up of three things: the product base price, the difference for the options you choose, and the quantity discount. There is no separate mould, set-up or design fee; the unit price you see in the basket includes everything.

For a 9 cm velcro patch the base unit price is $6.94, and $3.61 with the non-velcro (heat transfer, iron-on) backing. Choose a smaller size and this figure goes down. The quantity tier discount is then applied on top:

QuantityQuantity discountUnit priceTotal
10—$6.94$69.44
20%10$6.25$125.00
40%20$5.56$222.22
60%40$4.17$250.00
100%50$3.47$347.22
250%60$2.78$694.44
500%65$2.43$1,215.28

All prices include VAT.

Why does the price change with size, quantity and backing?

Because each of these corresponds to a different cost in production. Size determines the material used and the print area. Backing is a separate material and labour step; the velcro backing costs more than the heat-transfer backing because an extra strip of hook tape is applied. Quantity spreads the preparation cost: we prepare a design once, and that preparation costs the same whether you order 10 pieces or 1,000.

You choose all three on the order screen and the price updates instantly.

What is the unit price if I order 10, 50 or 100 pieces?

For a 9 cm velcro patch the unit price is $6.94 for 10 pieces, {{birim_50}} for 50 pieces and $3.47 for 100 pieces.

With the non-velcro backing the same tiers are $3.61, {{birim_cirtsiz_50}} and $1.81 respectively. If you choose a different size, the figure on the order screen will differ from these; the price on screen is the one that applies.

How much does the price differ between 100 and 1,000 pieces?

For a velcro patch the unit price is $3.47 at 100 pieces and {{birim_1000}} at 1,000 pieces. In other words, as the quantity goes up tenfold, the unit price drops by nearly half.

The discount curve isn't smooth; the most noticeable jumps come when going from 100 to 250 pieces and from 500 to 1,000 pieces. If you're thinking of 200 pieces, rounding up to 250, or if you're thinking of 800, going up to 1,000, lowers the unit price noticeably.

Do you offer discounts on bulk orders?

Yes, but not through haggling: the discount is applied automatically according to the quantity tier. As soon as you type the quantity on the order screen the unit price drops by itself; you don't need to ask for a discount.

At the highest tier the total discount reaches %65. All the tiers are in the table above.

What is the minimum order quantity? Can I order a small quantity?

For orders where you upload your own design, the minimum is 10 pieces and the maximum per order is 1000 pieces. We can't go below 10 pieces because the preparation work done for every new design makes production pointless when it's spread over a single patch.

If you want fewer, you have two options: you can order even a single piece from our ready-made design catalogue, or you can combine several designs in the same order to increase the total quantity.

Does the price go down as the quantity goes up?

Yes, and the discount is automatic. The tiers start at 10 pieces and get deeper at 20, 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1,000 pieces; at the top tier the discount is %65.

The discount works per design, not on the order total. Buying ten pieces each of three different designs doesn't fall into the same tier as buying 30 pieces of one design.

Do you charge a separate design or mould fee?

No. There is no design fee and no mould fee. Because production uses digital printing, no separate physical mould is made for each design; the one-off mould cost of traditional embroidery and press production doesn't arise with us.

Preparing your uploaded file for production and adjusting the size and cut line is also free. All you pay is the unit price of the patch and shipping, if any.

Are the mould fee and the per-piece production price calculated separately for a design?

No, there's just one item: the per-piece unit price. The "mould fee + per-piece price" structure you may be used to in the industry doesn't exist with us.

The practical result: on small orders a mould fee doesn't inflate the unit price; you simply miss out on the quantity discount. For jobs above 1,000 pieces the process is different, because the design goes through dedicated work and a mould is made; in that case please write to us via the contact form.

Does the price include VAT, design, mould and shipping?

VAT, design and mould are included; shipping depends on the order total. Every price you see on the site includes VAT, and no tax is added in the basket.

Shipping: Shipping costs $7.78; orders of $80.56 and above ship free.

How is the price calculated if I order the same logo in different sizes?

Each size is calculated as a separate line item, and the quantity discount applies to each line's own quantity. If you order 60 pieces at 9 cm and 60 pieces at 5 cm, the system prices this as two separate lots of 60, not as a single 120-piece tier.

The rule that follows: concentrating your quantity in one size lowers the unit price more. If you don't really need two sizes, sticking to one is the better deal.

If I order several designs, does each design need its own minimum quantity?

Yes. Each design must be at least 10 pieces on its own, because the preparation work is done per design. If you want three different designs, you order at least 10 × 3 pieces in total.

Since the discount tier also works per design, concentrating the quantity in a single design where possible works out cheaper.

What information do I need to send to get a price?

For standard orders you don't need to send anything — when you choose the size, backing and quantity on the product page, you see the price instantly.

If there's something special (a size outside 5-9 cm, a non-standard shape, more than 1,000 pieces, a corporate purchasing process), write these four things via the contact form: quantity, size, backing preference and design file. If you have a delivery deadline, add that too.

Can I order more than 1000 pieces?

Yes, but not through the order screen. A maximum of 1000 pieces can be selected per order; for larger jobs the design goes through dedicated work, a mould is made, and then it goes into production.

For this, just write to us via the contact form stating the quantity, size and delivery date; we'll work out the production schedule and price and get back to you.

If I have a sample made and then place a bulk order, is the sample cost deducted?

We do produce physical samples; whether the cost is offset against the bulk order is assessed according to the quantity and scope of the job, and we don't promise it as a standard rule.

If you're considering a sample, write to us via the contact form with the planned quantity and the design. In most cases a free digital proof is enough first; let's decide together whether you really need a physical sample.

Materials and Product Choice

What material are your patches made of?

Our patches are made of 100% TPU, finished with UV printing and have a 3D embossed structure. Unlike embroidered badges, colour gradients, fine lines and small text come out sharp.

We also produce PVC patches. If you're struggling to choose between the two materials, tell us about your design and where it will be used, and we'll tell you which will give the better result.

What is a TPU patch, and how is it different from an embroidered badge?

TPU is a flexible, durable polyurethane material; the patch surface is UV printed and embossed. On an embroidered badge the image is made with thread; on a TPU patch it is made by printing.

The practical difference shows here: in embroidery the number of colours and the level of detail are limited by the thread, so fine lines and small text get lost. TPU reproduces photo-quality colour transitions, gradients and even 0.5 mm lines. And because the surface is sealed, water and dirt don't soak in.

Embroidered or TPU: which should I choose for my purpose?

Let's be clear first: we don't make embroidered badges; our production is built on TPU and PVC. The comparison below is to help you make the right decision; we don't take embroidery orders.

If your design has fine lines, small text, gradients, many colours or photo-like detail, TPU is the right choice. If you're after a classic, bold-lined badge with few colours and specifically want the texture of embroidery, an embroidery workshop is the better option. Where outdoor conditions, rain and frequent washing are involved, TPU comes out ahead again.

Are TPU patches resistant to water, rain and outdoor conditions?

Yes. The surface of TPU is sealed; water, mud and dust don't penetrate the material, it doesn't get heavy when wet and doesn't leave stains when it dries. Unlike embroidery, it doesn't fray at the edges.

The UV print stands up to long periods in direct sunlight. That's why TPU is preferred for uses where the patch is constantly outdoors, such as motorcycling, off-road, mountaineering and search and rescue.

What is the difference between a 3D TPU patch and a 2D TPU patch?

The difference is in the surface height. On a 2D patch the surface is flat and the image is created entirely by printing. On a 3D patch certain parts of the design are raised; the logo, letters or border rise from the surface and cast shadows in the light, giving a sense of depth.

Our standard production is 3D embossed. If your design contains very fine detail that embossing would swamp, we'll tell you at the digital proof stage and suggest a flatter interpretation.

Do small text and fine details look sharp on a TPU patch?

Yes, that's where TPU is strongest. Because UV print resolution is high, fine lines, thin border lettering and small font sizes that get lost in embroidery stay legible.

There is still a physical limit: on a 9 cm patch, letters smaller than about 2 mm start to lose legibility. If your design has text like that, we'll flag it at the digital proof stage and suggest enlarging the font or removing that text.

Can you match the patch colours closely to the colours in my logo?

Yes, UV printing covers a wide colour range, and for most logos the result is so close the difference can't be seen by eye. If you have a Pantone or CMYK code, send it and we'll use the closest possible match in print.

The honest limit is this: a screen emits light, print reflects it. So very vivid neon shades and metallic gold/silver effects don't come out as bright as they look on screen. If your design has a colour like that, we'll tell you at the digital proof stage.

Which type of patch is best for uniforms, jackets or bags?

The deciding factor isn't the material but the backing. If the patch will stay on the same uniform permanently, choosing the non-velcro (heat transfer) backing and having it sewn on is the longest-lasting solution. If roles, ranks or staff change, choose velcro.

TPU is particularly advantageous on jackets and bags: sitting on the outer surface, the patch is exposed to rain and abrasion, and its sealed surface copes with that. For thick materials that can't be ironed, such as bags, a velcro or sewn-on application is recommended.

Is a TPU patch really rubber? What material is it made of?

No, it isn't rubber. TPU stands for thermoplastic polyurethane; it has the flexibility of rubber but the strength and workability of plastics.

In everyday speech, when people say "rubber patch" or "silicone patch" they usually mean this material. Compared with real silicone, TPU doesn't attract dust, is more tear-resistant and carries UV printing more sharply.

Can a TPU patch be used on a leather motorcycle vest?

Yes, and motorcycle clubs are among the groups we work with most often. However, leather must never be ironed — heat damages leather permanently. On a leather vest there are two options: have the patch sewn on, or choose velcro and have the loop side sewn onto the leather.

For details on back patches, the top and bottom rocker layout and which solution is right for a leather vest, see the Motorcycle Club Patches page.

Is there a difference in durability and appearance between TPU and PVC patches?

We produce both. TPU is more flexible, more resistant to tearing and low temperatures, and carries colour transitions more sharply in UV print. PVC is harder and heavier and gives crisper edges on thick embossing, but it stiffens in the cold and loses its flexibility faster over time.

For a patch that will be worn on clothing, washed and flexed, we recommend TPU. For a thickly embossed piece that will sit on a bag, equipment or a rigid surface, PVC is also suitable.

Which details stand out in a 3D embossed patch design?

Embossing works best on bold lines, closed shapes and large letters: the outer border, unit number, main symbol and bold text become prominent in the light when they rise from the surface.

By contrast, hairline strokes, very small font sizes and intricate interwoven patterns don't benefit from embossing; they come out sharper printed on a flat surface. Once we see your design, we'll decide together which parts to raise.

Which type of patch gives better results for logos with fine lines and small text?

For logos like these, TPU is better by a clear margin. In embroidery every line takes up at least the width of a thread, so fine lines merge and small text becomes illegible. On TPU the image is created by printing, so there's no such lower limit.

That's why aviation squadron patches, engineering firms' fine-line logos and designs carrying a motto on a lower banner turn out well in TPU.

What is the difference in weight and thickness between embroidered and TPU patches?

A TPU patch is lighter and thinner than an embroidered one. In embroidery thousands of stitches are laid on a fabric base, so the piece becomes thick and stiff; TPU is a single layer, so it moves with the garment.

The difference is especially noticeable on large patches. On a back or chest patch, embroidery drags the garment down; TPU doesn't. It also doesn't weigh down thin summer shirts and polo shirts.

Are there gloss, matt or embossed surface options?

Our standard production has a 3D embossed surface. The level of gloss depends on the design itself and the colours used; dark, saturated colours look glossier, light and muted tones look more matt.

If your design needs a particular surface finish, write to us via the contact form. For jobs that require low visibility, we can prepare a matt, low-contrast version.

Where are they used?

We produce for uniforms and team clothing, military units, police and security teams, aviation, healthcare and emergency services teams, corporate logos, sports clubs and motorcycle groups. The patches go on clothing, bags, vests and caps.

For details by use: Airsoft, Motorcycle Clubs, Healthcare and Emergency, Schools, Private Security, Off-road, Units and Teams, Aviation, Scouting.

Do you make reflective or glow-in-the-dark patches?

No. We don't make reflective or infrared-visible (IR) patches. The light colours of a TPU patch are noticeable under light at night, but that's no substitute for a reflective strip.

If your duty clothing needs genuine reflective visibility, you'll need to solve that separately with reflective tape or strips; the patch doesn't take on that function.

Size and Shape

What sizes are available?

When you upload your own design you choose one of 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 cm. The size refers to the longest side of the patch; your design is fitted to this size with its proportions preserved.

In-between sizes (for example 6.5 cm) or sizes outside this range can't be selected on the site. If you need one, write to us via the contact form; we'll assess it as a custom job and get back to you about price and lead time.

How do I work out the ideal patch size? How many centimetres should my logo be?

Rule of thumb: chest and sleeve patches 7-9 cm, name and rank tapes 5-6 cm, cap patches 5-6 cm. For small emblems near the collar, 5 cm is enough.

When deciding, look at the smallest text in the design: if it can't be read at the size you've chosen, you need to go larger or simplify the text. If you're not sure, send us your design and we'll tell you which size is right.

How are the edges of the patch finished? Can you do custom-shaped cutting?

Yes, we do custom-shaped cutting. A patch doesn't have to be square or round; it can be cut as a shield, a hexagon, a tape, a wing shape or directly to the outline of the logo itself.

The edges are clean and sealed and don't fray as embroidery does. Very thin, long protrusions (for example the tip of a thin, free-standing antenna) risk breaking in use; if there's a detail like that, we'll suggest thickening the outline slightly at the digital proof stage.

Are the details preserved when one design is produced in different sizes?

The proportions are preserved, but details are not automatically preserved. Lower banner text that reads easily at 9 cm can become illegible at 5 cm, because the text shrinks in the same proportion.

So when the same patch is produced in more than one size, we usually prepare a simplified version for the small size: the lower banner is removed or the font is enlarged. We don't charge extra for this adjustment.

Design and Files

Can I have patches made from my own design?

Yes. On the Upload Your Own Design page you upload your image, choose the size and backing and enter the quantity. Orders start from 10 pieces.

We do the work of preparing your file for production and don't charge separately for it.

Which file format should I upload?

The best results come from vector files: AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. These don't lose sharpness when scaled up or down.

If you don't have a vector file, we also accept high-resolution PNG or JPG. A PNG with a transparent background makes our job easier. If there's a file you can't upload on the order screen, you can send it by e-mail or WhatsApp.

I have a vector file (AI, PDF, SVG). What should I do?

Send that directly; it's the best starting point. In a vector file the lines are defined mathematically, so it's where we can extract both the cut outline and the embossed areas most cleanly.

When you send it, it helps if the text has been converted to curves (outline/convert to curves); otherwise, if we don't have that font, the letters may shift. If you're not sure, send the file as it is and we'll check it and let you know.

Can you make a production-ready design from the PNG or JPG logo I have?

Yes. We make your uploaded image production-ready, extract the cut outline and determine the embossed areas. This preparation is free of charge.

If the image is low resolution or the background hasn't been cleaned up, we make the necessary corrections, and we don't charge extra where a redraw is needed either. We send you the result as a digital proof for approval before production.

Can you turn my low-resolution logo into a high-quality patch?

In most cases yes, but the method is redrawing, not "enlarging". Simply enlarging a blurry image comes out blurry in print too, so we rebuild the lines cleanly.

The limit is this: if the image is so poor that the original lines can't be made out, we have to interpret it, and the result may deviate from your logo. In that case we'll say so clearly at the digital proof stage.

Can a new design be made from a photo or an old patch?

Yes, it's something we do often. Send a sharp, shadow-free photo of the old patch taken straight on; we'll extract the lines and make it reproducible.

When taking the photo, place the patch on a flat surface, shoot from directly above, and use daylight instead of flash. In photos taken at an angle the proportions are distorted and redrawing becomes harder.

My patch design isn't ready. Can I order with just an idea or a sketch?

Yes. Send us your sketch, a draft drawn on paper or simply a description of your idea; we'll work on it and prepare the design.

For a job like this, it speeds things up if you tell us: where the patch will be used, the text that will appear on it, your colour preferences and example patches you like. We send you the design we prepare for approval and make changes if needed.

How do I know whether my design is suitable for production?

You don't need to check; we do. After you order, we review your design for producibility, and if there's a problem we write to you before it goes into production.

The three most common issues: text too small to read at the chosen size, neon and metallic colours that don't reproduce well in print, and cut protrusions thin enough to break in use. In all three cases we come back with a suggestion.

Can a complex logo or a highly detailed badge be produced in TPU?

Generally yes, and TPU gives far more scope here than embroidery. Multi-coloured, gradient and multi-layered designs are produced without any problem.

The real limit on complexity is size, not material. A design too dense to fit in a 9 cm area won't be legible whatever method is used to produce it. In that case we'll suggest either going larger or simplifying the design.

Why does very small text sometimes become illegible in a patch design?

Because as the size shrinks, the text shrinks in the same proportion; lower banner text you can read easily on screen can drop below a millimetre on a 5 cm patch. Embossing also softens the edges of very small letters, reducing legibility a little further.

The solution is usually simple: enlarge the text, open up the letter spacing, switch to a bolder weight of the font, or move that information off the patch onto a separate tape patch. We'll decide together at the proof stage which is appropriate.

How accurately can you reproduce my logo's original colours on a patch?

When you give us the Pantone or CMYK code, we use the closest possible match in print; for most corporate colours the difference can't be seen by eye.

There are two groups we can't guarantee an exact match for: neon shades and metallic gold/silver. These look the way they do on screen because the screen emits light, so they don't come out equally bright in print. If your logo has a colour like that, you'll see it on the proof.

Can I get a digital design proof before production?

Not only can you, it's part of the standard process. Once your payment is confirmed, we send you a digital proof of your design prepared for production. Production doesn't start until you approve it.

The proof shows the final version of the patch, its size and the chosen backing. If you'd like changes, we'll make them and send it again.

Can I make revisions to the design?

Yes, at the proof stage you can ask for whatever changes you like, and we don't charge extra for a reasonable number of revisions. We can work on colours, font size, layout and cut outline.

The only limit is timing: revisions aren't possible once production has started, because the patches will already be printed. That's why we recommend reviewing the proof without rushing.

What happens if the delivered patch differs from the design I approved?

If there's a meaningful deviation from the proof you approved, production is our responsibility: we'll remake the product or refund it. Shipping costs are on us too.

In that case, take a photo of the patch and send it with your order number to destek@unlimitedpatch.com. Small shade deviations caused by the difference between screen and print aren't covered; that's why the proof matters.

Is it possible to see a real sample before production?

Yes, we produce physical samples. If you'd like a real sample in your hands before production, especially for large or corporate orders, we plan it as a separate job.

Sample lead time and cost depend on the scope of the job; write to us via the contact form with your design and planned quantity and we'll get back to you. For most orders the free digital proof is enough.

Backing and Application

What backing options are there?

There are two options: Heat Transfer (non-velcro, iron-on) and Velcro. The heat-transfer backing is applied with an iron or sewn on; with the velcro backing, the hook (rough) side of the velcro goes on the back of the patch.

There's a price difference: heat transfer is the base option, and velcro carries a surcharge. To decide which suits you, see the Velcro Patches and Iron-on Patches pages.

How do I attach the patch to clothing?

It depends on the backing you chose. You iron a heat-transfer patch on or have it sewn around the edge. A velcro patch you simply press on, provided the garment has the loop (soft) side of the velcro.

The most durable result comes from using iron and stitching together: fix it with the iron first, then stitch around the edge. We recommend this combination for workwear that is washed often.

How is a TPU patch applied to a jacket, vest or clothing?

It depends on whether the fabric can withstand heat. Fabrics such as cotton, cotton-polyester blends and canvas can be ironed. Iron must not be used on materials such as leather, nylon, waterproof shell fabric and technical linings.

If ironing isn't suitable, there are two options: have the patch sewn on, or choose velcro and have the loop side sewn onto the garment. If you're not sure about the jacket's shell fabric, check its label; if it has a "do not iron" symbol, don't iron it.

Which is better: an iron-on patch or a sewn-on patch?

It depends on how long it needs to last. Ironing is quick and, applied properly, holds for a long time; it's enough for everyday clothing and items that aren't washed often. Stitching attaches mechanically, so it's the longest-lasting solution.

For clothing that's washed often, washed at high temperatures or exposed to abrasion, we recommend stitching. The safest is to use both: the iron holds the patch in place and the stitching makes it permanent.

Can I get velcro-backed patches?

Yes. Just select Velcro as the backing on the order screen; the hook (rough, hooked) side of the velcro is applied to the back of the patch.

This is the right choice where roles, ranks or staff change: the garment stays the same and the patch changes. For details, see the Velcro Patches page.

Do you send both sides of the velcro with velcro patches?

Not as standard. With a velcro order you get the hook (rough) side on the back of the patch; the loop (soft) side to be sewn onto the garment isn't included in the package.

If you also need the loop side, you need to specifically say so when ordering; we send it for an additional charge. Write it in the order note or contact us with your order number.

Can I stick a patch onto leather, or does it need to be sewn?

Leather must never be ironed. Heat permanently shrinks leather, makes it shiny and leaves marks; this damage can't be undone.

On leather vests and jackets there are two correct methods: have the patch sewn around the edge, or order velcro and have the loop side sewn onto the leather. Any leather workshop or tailor can do either easily.

Can an iron-on patch be used on any fabric?

No. Suitable: cotton, cotton-polyester blends, canvas, denim, linen and tightly woven uniform fabrics. Not suitable: leather and suede, nylon and waterproof shell fabric, technical and membrane fabrics, silk, wool, velvet, tulle and very stretchy knits.

If you're not sure, check the garment's care label. If the iron symbol is crossed out, don't iron it; have it sewn instead.

Which application method is recommended for a nylon jacket or waterproof fabric?

Iron isn't used on these fabrics; heat melts nylon and damages the waterproof coating. Our recommendation is to use a velcro patch and have the loop side sewn onto the jacket.

Stitching has a cost too: on a waterproof jacket every needle hole is a potential leak. So the safest route is to choose an area of the jacket that is already stitched (pocket flap, sleeve band) or to use the jacket's own velcro area.

What temperature and time are needed to iron on a patch?

Set the iron to medium-high (cotton), turn off the steam and lay a thin cloth over the patch. Once the patch is in position, press the iron down and hold it still for 15-20 seconds; don't move it around. Turn the garment over and apply for another 10-15 seconds from the inside of the fabric.

Steam is the most common mistake: moisture stops the adhesive from bonding. Don't try to lift the patch before the item has cooled completely. For step-by-step instructions, see the article How to Apply an Iron-on Patch.

Can I move the patch to another jacket or bag later?

With a velcro patch, yes, it takes seconds; all you need is the loop side on the new item. Being able to move a patch between garments is the very reason velcro exists.

Moving an iron-on patch isn't recommended. Removing it requires reheating, and the adhesive doesn't fully deliver the strength of the first application a second time. If you know you'll be moving the patch, choose velcro from the start.

Will removing the patch leave marks or adhesive on the garment?

A velcro patch leaves no marks; the patch comes away from the loop side and never touched the garment. A sewn-on patch leaves needle holes, but on most fabrics they close up with washing.

An iron-on patch may leave some adhesive residue. To minimise it, heat the patch with an iron and lift it slowly while warm, then remove the remaining residue with a thin cloth and a little textile cleaner. On dark and thin fabrics a slight shiny mark may remain.

Washing and Durability

Are they washable? Will the colours fade?

Yes, TPU patches are machine washable and the colours don't fade with normal use. The UV print bonds into the surface of the material, so it doesn't wash off.

Three rules to extend their life: wash at 30 degrees on a low spin, don't use bleach or whiteners, and don't leave them in the tumble dryer for long. Washing the garment inside out protects the patch from abrasion.

Can the patch be machine washed? Will it deform in the wash?

It can be washed. TPU doesn't absorb water, doesn't swell and doesn't unravel at the edges; the patch keeps its shape after washing.

The risk of deformation comes not from the patch but from heat. Washes at 60 degrees and above and the high heat of a tumble dryer can soften the adhesive and lift the edges, especially on iron-on patches. Stick to 30 degrees and air-dry if possible.

Do the colours of TPU patches fade or crack over time?

Not with normal use. TPU stays flexible for a long time; because it bends with the garment, it doesn't break or crack. The UV print also withstands long periods in the sun.

The things that shorten its life are clear: constant high-temperature washing, bleach, ironing directly on the patch and harsh chemical cleaners. Avoid these and the patch will outlast the garment.

What is the most durable patch for a motorcycle jacket or vest?

A TPU patch, applied by stitching or with velcro. In motorcycling a patch is exposed to wind, rain, sun and abrasion all at once; TPU's sealed surface copes with all of them.

Since iron can't be used on a leather vest, stitching or velcro is the only option anyway. For club patches, rocker layout and choosing a size, see the Motorcycle Club Patches page.

Do you make custom logo patches for workwear and uniforms?

Yes, it's one of the areas we work in most. We can produce company logo, department, rank tape and name patches within the same order.

Because workwear is washed often and at high temperatures, we recommend sewn-on application here. If staff turnover is high, a mixed solution works well: the company patch stays sewn on and the name patch is velcro. For details and quantity prices, see the Corporate Patch and Badge Production page.

Which application lasts longer on workwear that is washed often?

Stitching, by a clear margin. The high temperatures, strong detergents and long drying cycles used in industrial laundries wear down iron-on adhesive over time; stitching isn't affected.

If iron-on is used, it should at least be reinforced with stitching. With a velcro solution, bear this in mind: velcro tape gets fluffy and loses its grip after repeated washing. Removing the patch before washing largely eliminates this problem.

Production, Delivery and Shipping

How many days does a custom patch order take to prepare?

Production takes 3 working days and starts after payment is confirmed. The courier's delivery time is added on top.

The clock starts the moment you approve the design. If you delay approving the digital proof, production is delayed by the same amount; if your job is urgent, keep an eye out for the approval e-mail.

When will I receive my order?

The typical flow: payment confirmation, then design approval, then 3 working days of production, then shipping. Within Turkey, shipping usually takes 1-3 working days.

So for a standard order the total time is usually under a week. If you have a job that needs to arrive by a specific date, write to us before ordering and we'll plan it.

Does the production time depend on the order quantity?

Within the standard range (10-1000 pieces), production time doesn't depend on quantity; it's 3 working days. Printing and cutting are done in batches, so there's no meaningful difference between 20 and 500 pieces.

For jobs above 1000 pieces it's different: because the design goes through dedicated work and a mould is made, it takes longer and is scheduled job by job.

Can you do rush production for an urgent event or occasion?

Yes, we have a rush production option. For jobs with a fixed date, such as trade fairs, launches, tournaments or ceremonies, we can bring production forward.

Because rush production is scheduled according to workload and carries a surcharge, it can't be selected on the site. Write to us via the contact form with the delivery date, quantity and design, and we'll tell you straight away whether we can make it and on what terms. If there's a risk of missing the date, we'll say so clearly from the start.

Can you guarantee that I'll receive my order by a specific date?

We can plan and commit to the production side; the courier's delivery time is outside our control. So rather than saying "it'll be at your door on this date", we say "it'll be handed to the courier on this date".

If you have a critical date, write to us before ordering. We'll bring production forward, plan with express shipping if needed, and tell you honestly how likely it is to arrive in time.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs $7.78; orders of $80.56 and above ship free.

The shipping cost is shown in the basket before you move on to payment. There are no surprise extra charges.

Do you ship everywhere in Turkey?

Yes, we ship to every province and district served by our partner courier. We have no separate regional restrictions.

Our production and dispatch centre is in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul; delivery time varies between 1 and 3 working days depending on distance.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. You can order directly from our site to 95 countries; when you select your country at checkout, international shipping is offered automatically. Shipping costs $16.67, and shipping is free for orders of $166.67 or more; estimated delivery time is about 7 working days after production.

Any customs duties and local charges in the destination country are payable by the recipient. For a country not on the list, write to us via the contact form with the delivery country, quantity and design; we'll work out the shipping cost and estimated time and get back to you.

How do I track my order?

You can see its status on the order tracking page with your order number and e-mail address. If you have an account, you can also follow it from the order list in your account.

You're kept informed by e-mail at every stage of the process (payment confirmation, design approval, production, shipping). You can also ask questions on WhatsApp with your order number.

Where do I get my tracking number?

When your order is handed to the courier, the tracking number is sent to you by e-mail. The same number also appears on the order tracking page and, if you have an account, in the order details in your account.

It can take a few hours for the tracking number to become active in the courier's system; if nothing shows up when you check straight away, that's normal.

If I reorder the same design, how do the process and price change?

The process is shorter: designs we've produced before are kept on file, so you don't need to send the file again. Just give us your order number. Because the design preparation stage is skipped, production starts sooner.

On price there's no special treatment: the discount is calculated on each order's own quantity and isn't combined with past orders. Buying 100 pieces and later another 100 doesn't give the same unit price as buying 200 at once.

Can I change the order quantity during production?

Before production starts, yes. If you're at the design approval stage, the quantity can be changed; the difference is settled by an additional payment or a refund.

Once production has started, the quantity can't be reduced, because the patches will already be printed. If you want to increase the quantity, it's added as a new line item and the discount is calculated on that line's own quantity.

Payment and Invoicing

Which payment methods can I use?

There are three methods: credit or debit card (with 3D Secure), bank transfer and assisted payment via WhatsApp. With card payment the transaction is confirmed instantly and the process starts straight away.

We don't offer cash on delivery.

Are my card details safe?

Yes. Card details never touch our servers; payment is taken through the infrastructure of a licensed payment institution with 3D Secure verification. The transaction isn't completed until you enter the verification code from your bank.

We don't record, store or view your card number.

I paid by bank transfer. What happens next?

When your payment reaches our account, your order is confirmed and design preparation begins. To speed things up, put your order number in the payment reference.

Interbank transfers may roll over to the next working day at weekends and on public holidays. If you send the receipt by WhatsApp or e-mail, we can match your payment faster.

Can I get an invoice?

Yes, an invoice is issued for every order. For individual purchases an e-invoice is sent to your e-mail address.

For a company invoice, just enter your company name, tax office and tax number when ordering. If you need a formal quote or a pro forma invoice, write to us via the contact form.

Returns, Cancellations and Exchanges

Can I return the product?

The distinction is this: patches made from your own design are personalised products and, under Article 15 of the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation, fall outside the right of withdrawal. Because they can't be sold to anyone else, they can't be returned.

For ready-made design products, however, you can exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days of receipt; the product must be unused and its packaging intact. For details, see the Returns Policy page.

The product arrived faulty or incomplete. What should I do?

A faulty or incomplete product is our responsibility in every case, and being a personalised product doesn't change that. We'll remake it or refund it; shipping costs are on us.

Take a photo of the product and of the fault, if any, and send it with your order number to destek@unlimitedpatch.com, or write to us on WhatsApp.

The parcel arrived damaged.

Open the parcel while the courier is still with you, and if there's damage, don't accept it; have the courier draw up a damage report. Without a report, making a claim against the courier company is difficult.

Send us the report and photos with your order number; we'll follow up the process and remake and send the product.

Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel before production starts and your payment will be refunded. If you're at the design approval stage, cancellation goes through without any problem.

Once production has started, cancellation isn't possible because it's a personalised product. That's why we recommend reviewing the design approval e-mail carefully; it's the last point for cancellation or changes.

Corporate, Club and Bulk Orders

We want bulk production for our organisation. How do we proceed?

There are two ways. If your quantity, size and design are settled, you can order directly on the site; the discount is applied automatically and you enter your company invoice details when ordering.

If your purchasing process requires a formal quote, pro forma invoice or sample, write to us via the contact form. For price tables, material choice and the process, see the Corporate Patch and Badge Production page.

Can you make custom patches for our motorcycle club?

Yes, motorcycle clubs are one of the groups we work with regularly. We can plan the top rocker, centre logo and bottom rocker layout together.

The point to watch is size: our standard flow covers 5-9 cm, so large back patches fall outside this range and are handled as custom work. For details, see the Motorcycle Club Patches page.

Do you do bulk production of club crests, team logos or squad emblems?

Yes. We produce for sports clubs, off-road and outdoor sports groups, scout groups, airsoft teams and student societies.

The most common mistake in club orders is matching the quantity exactly to the number of members. With new members, lost patches and communities with a swapping culture (such as scouting), we recommend leaving a 10-20 per cent spare margin; a small repeat order later pushes up the unit price.

Can we have custom logo TPU patches and keyrings made for our brand?

Yes, we make both, and we can produce both a patch and an NFC keyring from the same design. We plan the design together to keep your brand identity consistent across both products.

Keyrings can't be ordered automatically on the site; write to us via the contact form with the quantity, design and intended use, and we'll get back to you about price and lead time.

What should we look out for when ordering logo patches for workwear?

Three things: application method (stitching for clothing washed often and hot), spare margin (if you have staff turnover, add extra on top of current headcount) and size consistency (if the same patch is needed in different sizes for chest and sleeve, a simplified version should be prepared for the small size).

If you need to distinguish departments, keeping the company patch fixed and making the rank tape separate and velcro-backed is the most flexible solution operationally.

Can I order 500, 1,000 or more custom patches?

You can order up to 500 pieces directly on the site, with the discount applied automatically. Up to 1000 pieces go through the order screen.

For jobs above that, the design goes through dedicated work, a mould is made, and then it goes into production. Write to us via the contact form with the quantity, size and delivery date, and we'll work out the production schedule and price.

I want 500 logo patches for workwear. How can I get a quote?

You don't need to wait for a quote for 500 pieces: when you choose the size and backing on the product page and enter 500 as the quantity, you see the final price instantly. For a 9 cm velcro patch the unit price at 500 pieces is $2.43.

If you need a written, stamped quote document (because your purchasing process requires one), write to us via the contact form with your company details and we'll prepare and send a formal quote.

How do the sample and approval process work for corporate logo patch orders?

The standard flow: order, then free digital proof approval, then production. The digital proof shows the final version of the patch, its size and backing; production doesn't start until you approve it.

If your organisation can't give approval without seeing a physical sample, we plan that as a separate step. Write to us via the contact form and we'll get back to you about the sample lead time and cost.

Can you reproduce the same patch for our brand at regular intervals?

Yes. Designs we've produced stay on file; for a reorder you just give us your order number, with no need to send the file again. This keeps colour and size consistent across repeat runs.

For regularly recurring jobs, ordering a larger quantity at once and keeping stock is almost always better in terms of unit price; the patches can be stored for a long time without deteriorating.

Do you make custom patches for our dealers or shops?

Yes. You can have a single design produced for all your dealers, or have variants prepared with a different branch name for each dealer.

Note: each different design requires at least 10 pieces on its own, and the discount works on each design's own quantity. Having ten pieces each of 20 different patches made for 20 dealers works out significantly more expensive than 200 pieces of a single design. Stick to a shared design where possible.

Can you produce a large quantity of patches at short notice for an event, trade fair or launch?

Yes, that's what our rush production option is for. Because trade fair and launch dates are fixed, we prioritise and schedule these orders.

Tell us the event date at the earliest possible stage; we can reserve the slot even if the design isn't finalised yet. For last-minute requests we'll tell you honestly how likely it is we can make it, and if we see a risk we'll say so from the start.

What should we look out for when having branded patches made for use on our products?

For brand label patches to be sewn onto products, three things are decisive: size (usually 5-6 cm so it sits in proportion on the product), backing (heat transfer if it will be sewn on the production line, velcro if it will be attached later) and reproducibility.

The last point is the one most often overlooked: when a second batch arrives a year later, it needs to look the same as the first. To ensure this, we keep a record of the design and colour codes.

How are packing, quantity checks and delivery handled on bulk orders?

Patches are packed separately by design and size, with the quantity marked on each pack. This separation is maintained on orders with several designs to avoid any mix-ups.

If you need separate packing by department or branch, write it in the order note; we'll prepare it in a way that makes distribution easier.

Do you offer special pricing to brands looking for a long-term production partner?

The quantity discounts on the site are open to everyone and automatic; any arrangement beyond those requires regular, predictable volume. If you know your estimated annual quantity and order frequency, write to us via the contact form and let's talk.

To be honest, for most brands the biggest saving isn't in a special agreement but in combining order quantities: ordering 1,000 pieces at once instead of 250 pieces four times a year lowers the unit price significantly.

Can I have custom patches made for my own brand and use them on my products?

Yes. You can use the patches we produce on your own products, sell them and market them with your brand; you don't need separate permission from us.

The rights to the design remain yours. Our only expectation is that you have the right to use the design you send us.

Do you provide invoices and formal quotes for corporate orders?

Yes. For a company invoice, just enter the company name, tax office and tax number when ordering.

If you need a formal quote, a pro forma invoice or any other document your purchasing process requires, write to us via the contact form; send us the quantity, size and backing details and we'll prepare and send the document.

Do you print on t-shirts, caps or other products?

Our core business is patch and badge production; direct printing on garments such as t-shirts and caps isn't part of our standard service.

The patches we make can be applied to these products. If a bulk project needs both the products and the patches, write to us via the contact form and we'll look at the scope together.

Copyright, Logos and Confidentiality

Can I upload a logo that belongs to someone else?

Only if you have the right to use that logo. By placing an order you declare that you have the right to use the design you upload; responsibility for that right lies with you.

If you want us to produce a third-party brand's registered logo, licensed characters without permission, or a club crest you don't own, we won't put the order into production.

Can patches be made from another brand's logo?

Yes, if you have permission or a right of use from the brand owner. Without permission, no — producing a registered brand's logo without permission infringes trademark rights, and we don't do it.

If you're ordering on behalf of a brand as an agency, supplier or dealer, just say so in the order note; it speeds up the process.

What permissions are needed to order a club or team crest?

For the club's own crest, it's enough for the order to be placed on behalf of the club. If it's the official logo of a registered sports club, permission from the club is required.

Official institutional emblems (police, military units, public bodies) are a separate matter: we accept these orders on behalf of the institution and through the requesting unit, and we don't produce them for individual requests. For details, see the Unit and Team Patches page.

How can I prove that I have the right to produce a licensed logo?

A licence agreement, written permission from the brand owner or an official request letter from the institution is sufficient. You can send the document with your order number to destek@unlimitedpatch.com.

We use the document only to verify the order and don't share it with third parties.

Does the copyright of my own design remain mine?

Yes. The rights to the design you send remain entirely yours. We use it only to produce your order.

If you ask, we'll also share the edited file we prepared for production. If you want to take your design to another manufacturer, we won't stand in your way.

Are the designs I send for production kept confidential?

Yes. We don't publish the designs you send as references, don't use them in promotional images and don't show them to other customers. Unless you explicitly give permission, your design stays private with us.

If a non-disclosure agreement needs to be signed for a corporate job, write to us via the contact form.

Will the design I upload be shared with anyone else?

No. The files you upload are used only to produce your order; they aren't shared with third parties or put on sale in the catalogue.

Your design would only appear in our catalogue at your explicit request.

How is my personal data protected?

Information such as your name, address, phone number and e-mail is used only to process your order, ship it and issue an invoice. It is processed under KVKK (Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law) and is not sold to third parties for marketing purposes.

For details, see the KVKK Privacy Notice and Privacy Policy pages.

Keyrings and Other Products

Can a TPU patch be made as a keyring?

Yes. We can produce both a patch and a keyring from the same design; our range also includes NFC keyrings.

Keyring orders aren't placed automatically on the site. Write to us via the contact form with your design, quantity and intended use, and we'll get back to you about price and lead time.

What is the minimum order quantity for logo TPU keyrings?

Because keyring production is planned as a custom job, the minimum quantity depends on the design and product type; the site's 10-piece patch rule doesn't apply directly here.

Tell us the quantity you have in mind and we'll give you a firm figure for that quantity.

Can 3D embossing be used in a TPU keyring design?

Yes, embossing is even more effective on keyrings than on patches, because the piece is held in the hand and the feel of it comes to the fore.

The points to watch on a keyring are thickness and hole position: if not enough material is left around the ring hole, it can tear in use. We take this into account when preparing the design.

Can you turn a custom patch into an NFC keyring or promotional product?

Yes, we make NFC keyrings. Your existing patch design can be adapted to an NFC keyring; when tapped with a phone, it can direct people to your website, business card or campaign page.

We plan together what information will be written to the NFC tag and how the design will be adapted. Write to us via the contact form.

Can you produce logo TPU keyrings for corporate events?

Yes. We produce logo keyrings for trade fairs, launches, conferences and staff events; the NFC version is also used as a digital business card or to link to an event page.

If the event date is set, write to us at the earliest possible stage. Reserving a production slot is both safer and more economical than leaving it to last-minute rush production.
